2) Uniform
Navy blue jumper or cardigan - This does not have to be a school jumper so long as the colour’s right. School jumpers are available from the office in various sizes, prices from £7.50-£10.00.
White, navy blue or grey shirts, blouses or polo shirts - Again, these don’t have to have the school logo.
Black or grey trousers or skirt
Black school shoes - Children are permitted to wear black, shoe-style trainers as long as there are no coloured or white stripes on them. They may change into trainers for the playground or PE, but MUST change back into school shoes when in school. No high heels or boots.
Black, blue, grey or white socks or tights. NOT bright flourescent colours!
NO jewellry is permitted except stud earrings, which should be removed for swimming.
PE Kit
What the children wear for PE is under review. We would like it to be stricter with certain clothing not permitted for physical activity. The most essential kit is trainers. These have to be sturdy with a good grip. Trainers may get muddy. Next, we would like the children to wear a blue, grey or white t-shirt or polo shirt, with blue, grey, black or white shorts or tracksuit bottoms. The same colour sweatshirts or tracksuit tops are permitted in colder weather. The reason for these changes is that recently we have noticed that unsuitable clothing has been worn for PE, including denim, ” fashion tops” and unsafe footwear. We feel as though a strict uniform for all aspects of school life is essential, giving the children sense of belonging. We would very much like it if you could support us in this matter. As ever, kit should be marked clearly with your child’s name, and taken home to wash regularly. (Football shirts are permitted for Football Club.)
3) Timetables

6) Costs
Lunch - £1.80. This gets you a choice of main course plus a pudding. Juices cost 30p extra. Please send your child in with their dinner money, in a marked envelope if possible, on the days they want a school lunch. Menus available from the school kitchen, or see the “Documents/Letters” page.
Uniform - Jumpers and polo shirts start at £7.50. See Mrs Welch for details.
Trips - We will start to give more notice and offer a chance to pay in installments if you wish. We aim to have no trip costing more than £10, to include entry and coach cost.
Clubs - Staff-run clubs are free, Art and Gymnastics incur costs to be paid at the start of a term. See Rachel Cooper for Art Club details and Hazel Littlejohn for Gymnastic Club details.
Shawbury Stars After School Club - As there are lots of different payment options, please see the “Shawbury Stars” page on this site to download details, booking forms etc.
